Q:  We are recording from a JVC GY-HD251 camera but the timecode is not displayed.  Is there a problem with our recorder?
A:  JVC uses a variation in the HDV standard and does not output a VAUX packet which normally carries the timecode data.  Please use the tally light indicator on your recorder as a confirmation of the recording status.
