The MS-900 is a modular, eight input SD mobile studio that speeds the workflow of any SD or travelling studio. The shock mounted case of the MS-900 houses the SE-900 switcher, which can accept a variety of input boards for DV, SDI, DVI , YUV, as well as  S-Video and composite video. It can store up to two logos for output display and also features a CG (Character Generator) overlay channel. You can use a CG (like Datavideo’s CG-100) as a DSK and retain access to the multiple outputs of the SE-900 switcher. It also has a built-in 17” monitor for multi-view output, which folds down into a one rack-unit space for travel.   Some card options include external sync and a chromakey card that allows cuts between two cameras and two backgrounds. Additionally, it has an eight channel wired intercom with belt-packs and tally lights. As with all Datavideo products MS-900 works on 12vDC or local power.

Q: Does the MS-900 support high definition signals?
A: No, the MS-900 only supports standard definition signals.

Q: How do I change the size of the blocks inside the mosaic box?
A: Press the "mosaic" button to enable the blocks. Press "Position Control" button under the joystick. In the transition section, press either the large square box button or the smaller button to increase or decrease the block area (These buttons are next to the AB button). Press the speed key to increase or decrease the block distortion size.

Q: I want to make a longer serial cable to extend the distance from my SE-900 controller to the switcher. What type of cable is required?
A: A standard db-9 (pin to pin) male to female cable can be used. Do not use a cross pin type db-9 cable. When extending the distance of the controller, we recommend using the included power supply to provide power to the controller.
